Any good that exists in the heart will make its effect apparent, just as a bottle of musk emits its fragrance.

When our heart becomes so sick that it becomes blind, what it means is that there is a loss of appetite. Just like a person who is physically sick, they suffer from a complete loss of appetite. Such that even if you put their most favorite dish in front of them,
they just look at it, and because they are sick physically and they have a loss of appetite. They don’t want to eat. In the same way when hearts become sick there is a loss of appetite for Ibadah. That is why we can’t pray, even if the most rewarding of the Ibadah’s is placed infront of us. We can’t pray because we are spiritually sick.
