There is a Hadith in which is enshrined a prophecy of our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam when he envisaged a time when other nations will conspire together against the Muslim Ummah and converge on them like hungry wolves sensing the feebleness of their prey. Then one of the Sahaba asked:
“O Rasoolullah! Are we going to be fewer in numbers at that time?”
Our Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam replied:
“No! you will be like the froth which surfaces on the surface of the water at the time of a flood….of no endurance…of no value…and of no consequence or effect. And Almighty Allah Azza Wajjal will remove from them the fear of you and He will instill in your hearts ‘Wahn’.
Then one of the Sahaba asked: “O Rasoolullah! what is meant by Al-Wahn?”
Replied our Beloved Nabee Sallallahoo Alayhi Wasallam:
“When my Ummah will love the material life more than the life of the Aghirah.”
